Call for International Collaborative Research Institute for Protein Research, Osaka University, Deadline: December 1st, 2014
Applications for collaborative research
Institute for Protein Research (IPR), Osaka University, invites applications for international collaborative research. The research should be conducted in the form of a collaboration including at least one of the Principal Investigators (PIs) at IPR, or it should use particular experimental facilities of IPR, including solution- and solid-state-NMR spectrometers with ultra-high magnetic fields, and a synchrotron beam line for biological macromolecular assemblies at SPring-8. In the fiscal year of 2015, the research period is from April 1st, 2015 to March 31st, 2016, and an extension of the period is possible after reviewing the application. IPR will support each project for visiting IPR, and the researcher can stay in the University guest house near the campus.
Each applicant should submit an application form for the collaborative research along with a recommendation letter from at least one PI in IPR. The dead-line for submission for the 2015 fiscal year is December 1st, 2014. After review, about 10 selected applications will be announced at the end of March, 2015. Even after the dead-line, a few applications, the project of which should be urgently performed, can be accepted at any time during the 2015 fiscal year.
Please note. Researchers should be responsible for their own health insurances during their stay at IPR.
The research results have to be reported within one month after completion of the collaborative research. When they are published in journals, the researchers should describe that the research is conducted at IPR. For example, the following sentence should be added as an acknowledgement: “This work was performed under the International Collaborative Research Program of Institute for Protein Research, Osaka University.”
The application form must be sent to:
